What finish level should I specify?

For most residential interiors we recommend Level 4 under flat paint with light texture, and Level 5 under gloss or semi-gloss paint or in rooms with strong raking light. Commercial tenant improvements typically specify Level 4 unless the paint or lighting calls for Level 5.

How long does a typical job take?

A standard custom home (3,500 to 6,000 square feet) runs 8 to 14 working days depending on ceiling complexity and finish level. Remodel scopes and commercial TIs vary by access and coordination with other trades. We commit to a written schedule before we start.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Stone Creek Drywall carries general liability and workers comp. Texas does not require a state-level drywall license for residential work, but we carry Houston and Harris County registrations where applicable. Certificates are available on request.

Do you handle insurance and water-damage repairs?

Yes. We handle cut-out, patch, tape, texture-match, and finish work for insurance claims. We can provide itemized estimates that map to adjuster line items.

What texture options do you offer?

Knockdown is the most common residential finish in the Houston market, with orange peel common on commercial work. We also run smooth Level 5, skip-trowel, and hand-trowel for custom residential. Existing-texture match is a standard part of repair and patch work.

How do you price jobs?

We price by scope rather than flat square footage. The estimate accounts for finish level, ceiling complexity, access, and material spec. Change orders are written and approved before the work is done.

What payment terms do you require?

For new-construction and commercial work we invoice on progress milestones agreed with the general contractor. For homeowner-direct remodels, terms are typically a deposit at start, a progress payment at tape-out, and the balance at completion walk-through.
